Covenant House California is a non-profit organization that provides crisis care and ongoing support to homeless, runaway, and at-risk youth ages 18-24 in the Santa Clara area. They offer a variety of services including emergency shelter, transitional housing, and support for education and employment. The organization also works to raise awareness about youth homelessness and advocate for policies that support the well-being of vulnerable young people.
Investing in Youth is very important for a better future of society. Keeping this in mind, on Nov 22, 2022, an America Saraswat Sangha representative reached out to Covenant House in Santa Clara to check on opportunities to help. Covenant House encouraged them to donate items from their wishlist for the Holiday Boutique event to be held on Dec 21st. Donating to a holiday wish list is a simple and meaningful way to bring joy to someone’s holiday season. AMSAS representatives went ahead and shopped for several items from the holiday wishlist and dropped them off on 16th Dec. The administration and the recipients were very appreciative and sent a hand written thank you note.
